A Little About Pinnacle Peak Park

Pinnacle Peak Park in Scottsdale, AZ is a stunning natural oasis and a great place to explore the Sonoran Desert.

Located within a 150-acre area, the peak rises up to 3,169 feet and offers an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 3.5 miles.

The trail is moderately challenging, with an elevation gain of approximately 1,300 feet and a smooth terrain intermixed with step-ups. It’s perfect for families as the first half is relatively easy.

Along the way, visitors can take in spectacular views of golf courses and rooftops. In addition to hiking, Pinnacle Peak also offers interpretive tours, moonlight walks, astronomy talks, and more. It’s also a great location for rock climbing and other outdoor activities. 

Scottsdale is a great destination for outdoor adventure. The city is surrounded by mountains and offers a variety of trails to explore. From easy jaunts to more challenging routes, you’ll find something to suit your skill level. From the McDowell Sonoran Preserve to the Cholla Trail, there are plenty of trails to choose from.

When hiking in Arizona, it’s important to stay hydrated. Bring plenty of water and snacks with you, as well as protective clothing, like a hat and sunglasses. You should also bring a map and compass in case you get lost.
